As do other sources, specifically Damien Cox, freelance journalist who published a piece about this at thestar. The question being posed is the same one I asked above—in a sense—can it truly be the last time that a CFL game will be played in Toronto? They defeated the Ti-Cats the last time they played them on the 12th of November. Astonishingly, they only drew a reported 6, fans in attendance for that game.
The Argos lost their last game on the 16th against the Elks. If we look at the facts, it seems like that can very well just be the case in the end, dear readers, especially with the XFL potentially seriously interested in making that deal for a team that is at the top of their division, but astonishingly lacks attendance and overall interest.
These aforementioned teams take a lot of money, and so if the Argos are losing them money instead of earning, the likely response is what has been churning and churning in the rumor mill it would seem, which is the evident and potential sale of the Argos. Whoever wins the East Division final will obviously be headed to the th Grey Cup and face the winner of the West Division final between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Roughriders. He lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This is bad for the fans, the CFL, and Toronto.
Toronto fans wanting an NFL team need to show up for the Argos. Going to the XFL would be interesting but attendance and passion for Toronto football is the key either way.
Toronto football fans have for years considered themselves too good for the CFL and want to be with the big boys in the NFL. It s not the quality of the game —the much more exciting CFL play versus the mind numbing drag out the NFL game —shades of baseball with it s so-called strategy.
We all saw the response to previous NFL exhibition games in Toronto. Torontonians need to accept that they are the big fish in the small pond and stop yearning to be the small fish in the big pond.
Count on it. What a dumbass article. Please note that CBC does not endorse the opinions expressed in comments. Comments on this story are moderated according to our Submission Guidelines. First off, it comes at the expense of another player and special teams. And with the Argonauts issues with injuries at several different positions. It makes the possibility less likely when Arbuckle and MBT are both healthy. However, keeping Antonio Pipkin active for every game moving forward is something Toronto needs to consider strongly.
A week before, Toronto walked away without any majors on two separate occasions deep in the red zone in their loss to Saskatchewan. Antonio Pipkin helped the Boatmen not only extend scoring drives versus Montreal but ultimately score a touchdown in a goal-to-go situation.
On a DJ Foster td run up the gut where the defense was keyed in on Pipkin and his ability to get outside the pocket. The former small-school standout at Tiffin is a dynamic runner with a big arm.
His resume as a runner speaks for itself. Antonio Pipkin was prolific in college. He broke virtually every school career passing record. Finished with 10, yards and 88 TDs. Pipkin was the first player from Tiffin to ever play in the Senior Bowl.
He led the team in rushing in and , highlighted by a yard game in Pipkin finished his college career with 2, rushing yards with 25 TDs. The Argonauts also have another dynamic runner at the Quarterback position on their practice roster in Cole McDonald.
But Antonio Pipkin provides the best value right now to assume this role on offense. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports.
